At our house we have four computers – including three separate monitors and three more printers. Putting aside the number of computers for the moment, you might wonder why we'd need three printers. Well, each one tends to be best suited for a particular thing. The laser printer prints out documents fast – when all we need is a quick printout of some simple text document like a resume.
We have another printer that does the bulk of our scanning documents for us. And then we have one more printer that shines as far as printing high quality photo prints. One thing we don't have is good document imaging software to go along with the scanning printer. So the scanning we
do is rather basic – without the capability of a high quality OCR program.
