I've worked in places where fork truck
drivers have had to make almost heroic reaches and extensions in order
to store and retrieve pallets and stainless steel vats -- Not a job for
the faint of heart. These drivers really have to know what they're
doing and keep their wits about them as they put their loads out on a
limb so to speak. And most of the drivers I knew were very skilled and
professional. But it was always best to keep a sharp eye out whenever
you had to work anywhere near a fork truck that was loading or
unloading.
